　　一、学校简介

　　湘潭大学创办于1958年。1978年，学校与北京大学、清华大学等高校一起被国务院确定为首批全国重点大学，成为16所文理工综合性重点大学之一。建校60年来，湘潭大学在没有经过大规模合并的情况下，以一校之力雄居《泰晤士报高等教育》(THE)国内高校第45位，是国内为数不多的同时进入THE、USNEWS两大权威国际大学排行榜的高校。目前，学校是湖南省唯一一所湖南省人民政府与教育部共建大学、与国家国防科工局共建高校。

　　学校学科覆盖10大门类，化学、材料科学、工程学、数学等4个学科的ESI排名进入全球大学和科研机构前1%;有3个国家重点学科，15个一级博士学位授予点，32个一级硕士学位授予点，13个硕士专业学位类别，11个博士后科研流动站。学校现有专任教师1478人(另有外聘教师820人)，具有高级职称或博士学位的教师比例超过70%，有留学经历的教师达到25%;汇聚了包括两院院士、万人计划、千人计划、长江学者等一大批高水平师资和科研队伍。先后从美国、英国、法国等国家引进了一批高水平的专家学者。

　　Xiangtan University Calls for Global Talents

　　Xiangtan University (XTU) was established in 1958, and was designated by the State Council as one of the first-batch national key universities, along with 15 other universities including Peking University and Tsinghua University in 1978. Today, XTU, exempted from large-scale merger since its establishment 60 years ago, ranks 45th among Chinese universities in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings, and it is one of the few universities in China listed in both the THE World University Rankings and the US News Global University Rankings. Besides, XTU is the only university jointly sponsored by the Hunan Provincial People's Government, the Ministry of Education, and the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense.

　　Research at XTU spans ten academic disciplines. Of all the disciplines, four have ranked among the top 1% of the global universities and research institutions on ESI (chemistry, materials science, engineering, and mathematics). XTU has three national key disciplines, 15 first-level discipline doctoral degree awarding units, 32 first-level discipline master’s degree awarding units, 13 professional master’s degree programs, and 11 post-doctoral research stations. The number of the teaching faculty of XTU stands at 1,478 (and there are 820 part-time teachers). Over 70% of the faculty members boast senior professional titles or doctoral degree, and 25% of them have overseas experience on research and study. XTU possesses a number of high-level teachers and researchers, including Chinese Academy of Engineering academicians, Chinese Academy of Sciences academicians, winners of the "Ten Thousand Talent Program", winners of the “Thousand Talent Program”, and “Changjiang Scholars”. And the school also introduced many high-level experts and scholars from countries such as the United States, Britain, and France.

　　促进学科持续、健康、稳步发展;引进、培养高层次人才;组建创新团队、并领导团队开展前沿性课题研究;加强与国际知名大学的学术交流活动，共同主办国际会议或国际专题研讨会，发表高水平学术论文

　　具备入选国家级重要人才项目或科技项目的水平，如两院院士、国家“千人计划”长期专家等

　　薪酬福利：

　　年薪70-120万元，安家费65-200万元，科研启动费200-1000万元(符合学校重点学科建设发展规划布局的，待遇一事一议)
